Personality

Outside of combat, Zyrell is very easy to get along with. Very carefree and easygoing, always with a smile on his face, he seems to make friends no matter where in Teyvat he finds himself. Throughout all of his travels, that much has remained consistent, as well as when he takes on traveling partners (for those that want to travel with him, at least). He's always wanted to be a free spirit since his childhood, so getting the chance to do it as an adult was something that he didn't want to pass up. He's not a himbo all the time, though.

In combat, however, Zyrell is a different person. Much more sharp, serious and calculating, it goes to show that he takes his fights very seriously, especially when it's life or death. Not quite commanding those around him, but rather attempting to guide him and craft strategies on the fly, it's clear where his true intelligence lies (and that it actually exists) in the heart of battle, something that would always persist within him. What is consistent, though, is the care for his friends, and willingness to not only protect and help them, but for others as well.

Backstory

From a very young age, Zyrell was around fighting. His parents had abandoned him, the reason still eluding him to this day, as he eventually ended up at a particular underground fighting ring, that persisted in the darker corners of Fontaine. It was in this traveling event that he grew up, watching fights and once he became a teenager, eventually starting to fight himself. He got good at it, good enough to make a decent living, storing away what he could. Those that he lived with as part of the ring were generally good influences on him, despite their rougher characteristics and personalities.

Something more notable, however, would be when Zyrell first awoke to a Vision. The details of which are included in his first solo, but to make a long story short, the event surrounding the awakening was powerful enough to make him leave the ring, beginning to travel the world on his own. He wanted to see Teyvat and perhaps beyond before his demise, something that he continues to do today. Over his time traveling the world, he's met countless beings, made his way through every nation he could, and most importantly, made a lot of friends along the way.

Abilities

Zyrell is a Hydro Polearm character, known primarily for his sharp reflexes in battle and quick wits to go along with.

Speaking primarily in game terms, Zyrell's ascension materials, besides the usual Hydro gems, are currently unknown. This will be updated after 4.0 releases, and Fontaine has more information released about it. The same goes for his talent materials. Also, the nitty gritty in terms of numbers of bonuses and the like won't be listed. Unless Mihoyo want to put Zyrell in the game for real. No complaints there, in that case.

Talents
The Main Slashes - Normal Attack
Zyrell's Normal Attack attacks up to six times in a row. His Charged Attack consumes a bit of stamina, resulting in a charge forward that deals damage. His Plunging Attack plunges him from middair, dealing damage to enemies along the way and dealing AoE Normal Damage upon impact with the ground.

Rippling Depths - Elemental Skill
Upon activation, Zyrell throws his polearm. If an enemy is hit from this throw, they begin to pulse AoE Hydro Damage. This also boosts the team's Attack for a short duration. The pulsing will continue if Zyrell is swapped out.

Wave of Vexation - Elemental Burst
Spinning his polearm before slashing out in front of him, Zyrell summons a tidal wave in front of him, shooting out and pushing back any enemies caught in its path. It deals Hydro Damage, as well as lowering Defense of enemies for a small duration. The lingering aftereffect of the tidal wave persists after character swapping.

Warm Acceptance - Utility Passive
When Zyrell is in your party, Friendship EXP is increased by 50%.
